NOW AVAILABLE FOR A ONE WEEK TESTING PERIOD.

On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, the CILogon Service at https://cilogon.org/ will be updated to OA4MP v5.3.1. Please see https://github.com/cilogon/cilogon-java/releases/tag/v5.3.1 and https://github.com/ncsa/oa4mp/releases/tag/v5.3.1 for full release notes.

The major change for this release is the deprecation of requesting the "edu.uiuc.ncsa.myproxy.getcert" scope when registering OIDC clients at https://cilogon.org/oauth2/register . Existing OIDC clients that were registered with the "edu.uiuc.ncsa.myproxy.getcert" scope will be able to get X.509 certificates until January 2024. For full details about the CILogon X.509 Certificate Retirement Plan, please visit https://ca.cilogon.org/retirement .

The update is currently available for public testing on https://test.cilogon.org/ and https://demo-test.cilogon.org/ . We recommend OIDC clients verify functionality before June 6 by setting the discovery endpoint to https://test.cilogon.org/.well-known/openid-configuration .
